We've only gone and managed to convince the world famous Edinburgh Royal Vet School to reopen its doors to six new junior vets! But not all of the raw recruits are desperate to become vets when they're older. Some of them might well get wobbly at the slightest suggestion of surgery and others could panic at the prospect of picking up a puppy. One thing's for certain though, they're all keen to try and prove they can overcome any fears and phobias and become top animal menders. And every one of them is desperate to bag the prestigious title of head vet.

This time, we test them out at an even bigger network of zoos, wildlife hospitals and vet practices beyond vet school as we really put the junior vets through their paces. Junior Vets 2 is gritty, raw and real but also life-affirming, heartwarming and mischievously entertaining as the trainees are guided through an increasingly intense training programme and real vet work... something very few young people have ever been allowed to experience before.

The junior vets have one last chance to help injured animals and poorly pets. They check up on some of their favourite patients to make sure they're recovering properly. And - after three weeks at vet school - it's judgement day. Fears and phobias have been conquered, vet skills have been mastered and most importantly all sorts of animals, pets and critters have been saved.
