Fiona Bruce follows Falklands War hero Simon Weston over three months, as he becomes the first person chosen by the public to be painted for the National Portrait Gallery.

Weston is painted by Nicky Philipps, best known for her portrait of the royal princes. As the painting takes shape, Weston's moving life story is revealed, from his battle for survival and struggle with depression to his becoming an inspirational role model and national treasure.

Weston chooses not to view the work in progress, instead waiting for the big unveiling. But will be like how he is portrayed for posterity? Show less
