Rodney Ramshackle comes to stay at the Mill on the Marsh and Grandpa and Josh soon discover that he's Ramshackle by name and ramshackle by nature! Rodney is a souvenir salesman. His mother usually helps him sell his souvenirs but she's hurt her leg so he has to do it all by himself. Rodney is determined to sell all the souvenirs and make his mother proud but Grandpa is sure he's going to need some help so he shrinks.

When Rodney arrives at Miss Smiley's café he loses his nerve and can't remember the words of his sales pitch. Josh persuades Rodney to imagine his mother prompting him and Grandpa reads the script from inside an empty suitcase. Rodney's confidence builds and in the end he sells every single souvenir.
