Stiller describes what attracted him to this tale and why his 2001 comedy Zoolander remains close to his heart.
American Hustle, a grifters story set in the 1970s, has already been nominated for awards including the Golden Globes. It's directed by David O Russell, whose last outing Silver Linings Playbook picked up an Oscar for Jennifer Lawrence who also appears in American Hustle.
