Rugby Union: Internationals

2013/2014

Autumn International: Ireland v New Zealand

Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Two HDLatest broadcast: on BBC Two England

John Inverdale introduces coverage of the Test match between Ireland and New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Keith Wood and World Cup wining coach Sir Clive Woodward are the studio guests with commentary coming from Eddie Butler and Philip Matthews.

The All Blacks represent the toughest challenge in rugby right now. The World Cup winners won all six matches at 2013's Rugby Championship, maintaining their 100% record in the tournament, which succeeded the Tri-Nations competition. With star names such as Dan Carter, Richie McCaw and Ma'a Nonu, they will be determined to extend their unbeaten record against the Irish.

The home side, meanwhile, will be looking to exact revenge for a 3-0 series defeat when they toured New Zealand in 2012. This could be the final chance for legendary Irish captain Brian O'Driscoll, who will retire in 2014, to claim an elusive victory against the mighty All Blacks. Show less
