It's the turn of the next generation to enter the famous tent in this series of Junior Bake Off, hosted by the inimitable Aaron Craze. Forty of the country's best young bakers face the biggest baking battle on earth. They cross whisks over cakes, biscuits, pastry and bread as they try to prove themselves to queen of cakes Mary Berry and award-winning pastry chef James Martin in an attempt to become the 2013 Junior Bake Off champion.

In the first heat, four young bakers face the technical challenge, following James Martin's tricky recipe for biscotti and lemonade, before taking on the show-stopper, where they must pull out all the stops baking a racing-themed cake.
