Carl insinuates to Max that he spent the night with Kirsty. Kirsty’s upset Max didn’t show up. When Cora makes digs at Kirsty about Carl, Kirsty confronts Max, furious that he jumped to conclusions. Carl insists he did nothing to antagonise Max. Max tells Carl he’s on to him and apologises to Kirsty. Kirsty insists if Max can’t forgive and trust her it’ll never work. There’s a thawing as the two reminisce about when they first met but argue when Kirsty learns Max went to see Carl behind her back. Kirsty despairs – why are they doing this to each other? Max responds with a kiss. Stumbling indoors, they’re shedding clothes when suddenly Lauren appears – she came home to surprise Max.

Michael insists Danny’s untrustworthy for lying about his sexuality but Janine’s unfazed. Michael makes some calls about Danny’s Ferrari and makes a discovery. As Danny’s schmoozing a potential investor, Michael waylays Janine while Tyler poses as a lease company official, reporting Danny’s behind on his payments and repossesses the car. Janine’s furious Danny embarrassed her in front of a client.
