Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents

Series 3

Episode 7: Ayia Napa

Duration: 1 hour

First broadcast: on BBC ThreeLatest broadcast: on BBC Three

Two teens from different walks of life are hitting Ayia Napa, the clubbing capital of Cyprus, for cheap booze, dirty dancing and a bit of independence away from their parents.

Strong-minded and streetwise Ashleigh from south London is escaping her mum's traditional values and looking forward to rebelling on her girls' holiday with college friends. Her Bible-loving mum can't stand the idea of there being nudity, piercings or tattoos on Ashleigh's holiday. The girls are raring to go and want the whole of 'Napa' to know they've arrived.

Over 200 miles away in Bolton, mummy's boy Tom is getting ready for his first ever lads' holiday. He is a man on a mission - to increase the number of girls he has slept with to more than one before heading off to university. Two of his other friends are aiming to lose their virginity, so the pressure to pull is on. Tom's mollycoddling mum Kim thinks he is just a lovely boy, but stepdad Dave would like to get to know him better, and indeed he will.

What the teens don't know is that their parents will be on holiday with them, sometimes just metres away, watching everything.

As soon as the girls arrive they head straight to a tattoo parlour to get ideas and end up in an argument with the owner as Ashleigh's temper gets the better of her. Her anger really upsets her mum, but things are about to get worse - as the week progresses the girls are kicked out of their hotel room for topless swimming and are back in a tattoo parlour for a permanent holiday souvenir.

The Bolton boys are desperately seeking ladies and Tom has managed to get a kiss, but with time running out a bar crawl with over 100 girls could help. His mum anxiously watches on, but stepdad Dave finds he has a new found respect for Tom. Show less
