The Gates is BBC Radio Scotland's exciting new sketch show set among the parents who gather to collect their children from school. The show is presented as a documentary parody and features strong characters like 'Linda' whose is obsessed with celebrity and Ida MacGinlay who has old fashioned ideas of discipline. The series is written and presented by Pauline Goldsmith, Vivien Grahame and Jo Jo Sutherland - three women with years of experience in the comedy scene in Scotland. Each episode finds comedy in the issues around parenting and is as weird, wonderful and entertaining as life at the school gates can be. This week's episode finds the conversation turn to babies.
