Tanya’s rushing to meet Ava Hartman to tell her they’re family. Patrick protests this should be Cora’s choice, but Tanya’s persistent and he eventually agrees to go with her. At the school, Tanya’s shocked to discover Ava’s mixed race. Ava gives Tanya a tour, believing she’s considering enrolling Oscar. Just as Tanya’s about to tell all, she gets cold feet and rushes off. Tanya and Patrick agree to keep quiet. As they drive off, Ava runs after them, Tanya’s purse clutched in hand, but they’ve gone.

Joey voices his concerns about Derek to Alice, saying ‘I won’t always be there’. Derek attempts to convince Ray, then Jack, then Max to discourage Alice from doing self-defence. No-one agrees. Alice later learns what Derek’s been up to, but Derek lies, claiming he supported Alice and it was Ray who didn’t want her there; her crush on him making him uncomfortable. Alice is gutted.

Lauren can’t believe what’s happened with Joey and asks him to leave. Whitney, Lucy and Lauren bump into Joey and Alice in the cafe. Lauren mocks Joey. Alice tells Lauren it’s her fault Joey’s leaving. Shocked, Lauren rushes off to find Joey. She tells him she was scared earlier; but not as scared as when she heard he was leaving. They agree what happened was special, and passionately kiss. Derek spots Joey, but doesn’t realise he’s with Lauren. Joey tells Lauren he loves her.

Fatboy’s swapped numbers with Sylvia but when he receives a text from her it’s not good news. Poppy tells Fatboy he’s too good for Sylvia. There’s a moment between them, interrupted by Poppy’s phone: Poppy’s dreaded sister Tansy’s coming to visit - tomorrow!

Max sets Lauren to work stuffing envelopes with car lot leaflets. Lauren asks if they’ve got money troubles, Max claims it’s just the economic climate. Show less
