Zainab’s relieved to see Syed, explains she entrusted their savings to him, and is sure he’ll explain. Syed confesses it was he who didn’t pay the mortgage, wrote the missing cheque and sold his cleaning products at a loss. He offers Masood all he has left - £50 and the honeymoon euros. Zainab’s heartbroken. Masood storms out. Syed’s hurt by Masood’s reaction, convinced Masood treats him differently from Tamwar. Tamwar’s frustrated when Zainab readily accepts Syed’s apology. Later, at home, Masood tells Zainab to leave, angry she trusted Syed so blindly without consulting him. Syed objects, he just wanted to make Masood proud. Masood shouts for him to go. Masood’s sick of the lies and trying to make things work – where is Zainab’s respect for him? Syed returns home to Christian, telling him he confessed to his family. Christian holds him. Fat Boy stops Tamwar drowning his sorrows while the bailiffs pack up the Argee Bhajee. At the Masoods’, Zainab gabbles desperately about a fresh start, pleading she doesn’t want to go - will they be okay? Masood says no. Christian and Syed return to the Argee Bhajee together; Tamwar kicks Syed and grabs him in a headlock until he admits he’s an idiot. Fat Boy convinces the bailiffs to turn the power back on for Christian and Syed’s first dance before they depart on honeymoon. Tamwar’s sure his parents will have sorted things out and returns home as a taxi drives away. Tamwar finds Masood alone – Zainab’s gone.
Post coital, Denise swears a smug Fat Boy to secrecy about their fling and shoos him out of the back door. Kim notes that Denise’s top is on inside out. During Christian and Syed’s first dance, Fat Boy stops Denise dancing with AJ by cutting the music, then tags along to the Vic. Show less
