Resigned, Alfie scans adverts for a new pub lease. Kat appeals to Phil to let them stay and pawns a ring to pay their rent plus £100 compensation. Phil accepts the money but still won’t re-hire them. Desperate, Kat admits they left because she had an affair and pleads this is her last chance to keep her family. Phil allows them to stay. Alfie suspects Kat got the money from Michael; he’s stunned to learn Kat pawned her mum’s ring. Kat ignores a call from Michael, insisting she’d do anything for her family.

Roxy rejects Michael’s apologies. Michael tries to organise an au pair and rushes a candidate, Emily, through an interview. He despairs when Emily rejects the position and tries to recruit Kat to babysit. Kat insists Michael is all Scarlett needs. Later, Michael sits watching television and turns the volume up, deliberately ignoring Scarlett’s cries.

Trish pops round, enquiring about Lexi’s cough and critical of the messy flat. Abi minds Lexi for Lola while she cleans the charity shop. Alexa taunts Abi on seeing Lexi. Lola reveals Lexi’s hers and is named after Alexa, but insists they’re no longer friends. Lola’s late for her official visit from Trish. Trish discovers Billy’s unemployed and questions if Lola’s declared her cleaning earnings. Frustrated, Lola admits she hasn’t and snaps when Lexi throws up. Trish plans to call a meeting immediately.

Jay’s grateful for work at the car lot but worries when Max wants him to collect cars from the Arches. Phil refuses to work with Jay, Max fires him. Abi’s furious and consoles Jay.

Phil buys Dennis a junior toolkit and enjoys having him at work while Dennis is off school ‘ill’. Phil teaches Dennis about ‘grassing’; Sharon thinks they shouldn’t spend time together anymore. Show less
