Sharon plans to open R&R in the daytime to sell coffees, Joey suggests they organise a youth disco. Jack proposes he and Sharon go out with Amy and Dennis, but Sharon’s not ready for family time. A phone call leaves Phil in a bad mood. At the Vic, he sets Fat Boy to work cleaning and stocktaking. Phil gets funny looks from people who’ve read the paper, Ben’s trial date’s been set. Phil’s unsympathetic when Ray requests time off for his community project. Someone scrawls ‘RIP HEV’ across the doors of the Arches. Sharon comes to pitch ideas to Phil. She isn’t comfortable being upstairs in the Vic. Phil asks her to come and run the pub and threatens to sack her from R&R when she refuses. Phil admits what’s really wrong; Ben pleaded guilty to manslaughter but is being tried for murder. Sharon insists Phil’s on his own. Seeing a seemingly carefree Jay with Patrick, Lola and Abi, Phil bars him from the Vic. Sharon attends a support group and introduces herself as an addict.
Christian and Zainab are engrossed in wedding plans. The Argee Bhajee’s busy. A wedding licence arrives for the restaurant. Tamwar notices the missing business cheque stub, Syed ‘rings’ the bank then claims it was for a small amount. Tamwar blames himself for the error. Syed reassures Tamwar and suggests he take care of everything day to day, Zainab needn’t know.
Patrick makes Lola stay in until Trish has visited. Lola’s got a cleaning job and persuades Abi to help her retrieve cleaning products from Butchers’ Joints. Discovering what they’re up to, Patrick lectures Lola about putting her and Lexi’s future at risk but Lola talks him round.
Zainab’s exasperated with AJ’s lazy ways. She’s outraged when he brings Roxy home after a drunken evening in R&R. Show less
