Phil’s letter to Ben is returned. Sharon arrives after a strange phone call from Phil, distressed to find him contemplating bottles of whiskey and fretting about Ben. Sharon urges Phil to take comfort in his businesses, sympathising that she’s been at rock bottom, too. On Bridge St, Ian sees Michael harassing Lucy and suggests selling the stall to pay his loan. Phil opens the Arches, faltering as he finds photos of Ben and Shirley. Later, he encounters Ian, who’s depressed at losing the stall and wondering if it’s karma. Phil tells Ian to get a grip but, later, rips down the stall’s ‘for sale’ sign, promising to find a buyer for the flat; Ian needs the stall. Phil heads determinedly into the Vic, hands the whiskey to Fat Boy and strides behind the bar. Sharon’s pleased - Phil’s back.
Trish increases her visits and gives Lola a list of issues regarding Lexi’s care. Lola has a business plan - cleaning. She and Jay break into Butcher’s Joints for their client list, advertise cleaning at discount prices and clean the charity shop. Billy finds an exhausted Lola with a pile of nappy rash cream bought from her earnings.
Michael pulls out of buying 89B George St. He plans to sell his car, and extracts the paperwork from Butcher’s Joints, but discovers it’s been towed; Jack reminds him it was Janine’s.
Masood’s suspicious of Zainab’s lavish preparations for dinner. Seeking Syed, Masood overhears an anxious phone call. Over dinner, the family toast to Syed and Christian. Christian announces a wedding date – October 16th. Zainab reveals Syed and Tamwar are business partners. Tamwar’s offended.
Fat Boy reports that Anthony called to apologise. Joey returns the Emporium keys, and suggests he and Tyler take Derek down. Tyler isn’t interested in their games. Derek offers Tyler a market stall. Show less
