Fifty years since the first broadcast of this classic Scottish drama, we join the newly graduated Dr Finlay as he embarks on his medical career working for Dr Cameron in his Tannochbrae practice. In this, the third episode of the series, the ambitious and headstrong young Doctor Finlay, played by Bill Simpson, seems to be the only person in town not in awe of the talents of a famous travelling stage healer, Dr Lestrange.

One of Dr Finlay's patients, a young apprentice at one of the shipyards on the Clyde, goes along to the show to seek a miracle cure for a crippling bone condition. Isolated in his view, the determined Dr Finlay follows his instinct and uncovers the truth behind Dr Lestrange's his stage show and healing talents. Show less
