Ian manically prepares for the wedding as Lucy methodically cancels everything. Ian desperately tries to find Mandy a bridesmaid. Tanya realises Mandy doesn’t seem very excited about the wedding and persuades her to visit her mum in hospital. Phil’s concerned when he hears Ian ask Fat Boy to be his best man. Later, Derek and Jack laugh at Ian, causing him to flip and throw everyone out of the cafe. Max finds Ian in the chip shop; Ian’s determined the wedding will go ahead and Max ends up agreeing to be best man. Ben tells Phil Ian’s gone mad, he has to do something. Jay’s anxious to learn Ben’s no longer Ian’s best man. Helping with the arrangements, Max learns the register office has been cancelled. Lucy’s smug when Ian blames Mandy for the cancellation. Mandy shouts at Ian to shut up, her mum’s died.
Janine asks Billy to sound out Whitney about moving in, but Whitney avoids him. Michael distracts Jean so she’ll miss her Butcher’s Joints interview, claiming she needs to be more involved in her investment and the gym needs a mother. He then whisks her off to celebrate; she’ll soon be a rich woman. Jean shows Michael the family photos in her wallet, he admits he doesn’t have any and he talks to her about his mum. Jean hugs him.
After Lauren drops her in it, Kim’s forced to take Sasha to one of her Kimba classes. Sasha’s dismissive, the standard was low. Kim tells Ray exactly what she thinks of Sasha’s dancing, Ray explains it’s a parent’s job to encourage your kids. He tells Kim he loves her and she says she loves him too.
