Gabriel is surprised when he receives a letter from Michael asking for a visit but doesn't seem willing to face his brother. Later, Gabriel finds Molly unable to get into the Amber Cabs office. Lenny is nowhere to be seen. Gabriel breaks into the office to find Lenny having an MS episode. Diverting Molly, Gabriel persuades a humiliated Lenny to let Dan examine him in private. Dan tells Lenny that he has to start a course of treatment at the hospital. Lenny is not happy about this but appreciates Gabriel's loyalty and understanding. Sean speaks to Gabriel about another dodgy deal that would set them up in direct competition with Lenny. Gabriel refuses out of loyalty much to Sean's displeasure.

Gabriel speaks to Leyla who asks him not to see Michael. Gabriel brings up the fact that they slept together and tells her things have changed. Gabriel decides to stay away but when a humbled Lenny comes to thank him for his help, Gabriel finds himself confessing to the affair. Lenny confronts Gabriel with his weakness, just as he did for Lenny earlier, and tells him to visit Michael. At the prison, an eerily calm Michael wants to forgive Gabriel but insists he leave Glasgow as he has no ties. A furious Gabriel reveals that Leyla wanted him, not Michael, especially when she slept with him two weeks ago. Enraged, Michael punches Gabriel. He never wants to see him again! Afterward, Gabriel gets a visit from Will and DCI Donald who ask him if he is connected to the beating that Michael received in prison after he left. Gabriel confronts Lenny about this, and Lenny reassures Gabriel it wasn't from him. Sean meets Gabriel and casually asks after Michael, making Gabriel's blood run cold. Sean asks for something in return for not attacking Michael again. Cornered, Gabriel admits that Lenny is suffering from MS. Sean immediately goes to gloat over Lenny who is utterly furious. He confronts Dan and accuses him of shopping him out to Sean. Gabriel steps in to stop the fight and admits to Lenny that it was him that did it. A bewildered Lenny can't believe it. He angrily confronts Gabriel with the truth. He can't be trusted by anyone. Afterwards, Gabriel meets with Sean and tells him he will give him everything on Lenny if he can be his business partner. Sean is elated and takes him to his prostitution ring. But when Sean leaves the car, Gabriel makes a call to Lenny and gives him details of Sean's business. Gabriel's become a double agent.
