Siân Williams relives the momentous Coronation celebrations and street parties that swept across Wales during the summer of 1953. Guided by rare archive film, which was shot in glorious colour by amateur filmmakers, Siân travels around Wales to track down those who were caught on camera and hear their incredible stories first hand.
She meets Beryl, who on Coronation day dressed as a fairy queen and had a vital role to play in ensuring her street party was well fed, and hears from the Harding family, who spent months making sure their street had the best decorations in town.
And six decades on, Siân reunites the residents of Llantwit Fadre for a special screening of an amazing colour film showing the celebrations in their tiny village. Show less
