Bianca’s on edge. Janine arrives with bridesmaids’ dresses. Janine wants Bianca to pay to have the ceiling professionally repaired. She offers to take Pat’s ring as a down payment on the rent. Bianca discovers the kitten and realises the kids have taken money to feed him. She tells them to put the cat back where they found it. The debt collector visits, Bianca will be taken to court if she doesn’t pay in full today. Whitney’s brooding over Tyler but Bianca doesn’t have time for teenage traumas. Ian’s had phone calls from Bianca’s creditors. After lecturing her, he refuses her request for an advance. Bianca asks Mandy to hold the fort at the cafe. She corners Tyler in the launderette to talk about Whitney. Dot has the kitten and tells Bianca she’s happy to look after him until she’s back on her feet. Dot gives Bianca five pounds. Bianca’s dismissive when Derek urges her to make peace with Carol. Bianca visits Janine, admitting she can’t pay the rent. She gives Janine Pat’s ring and begs for a loan. Gloating, Janine requests a loan proposal. She’s unmoved when Bianca explains she needs the money now. At Beale’s Plaice, Bianca begs Ian for an advance. Unwilling to help, he insists Bianca return to the café. When Bianca refuses Ian sacks her. In desperation, Bianca steals a market trader’s money belt. She runs into Mr Lister, knocking them both to the ground. The trader snatches back the money, including Dot’s five pounds. Mr Lister calls the police, reporting Bianca for theft and assault. Distraught, Bianca runs home. She apologises to Carol and, aware she’ll be going back to prison, implores Carol to stay and look after her babies. The police arrive. After a tearful goodbye with the kids, Whitney and Carol, Bianca’s driven away in a police car. Show less
