Ben’s increasingly concerned with Shirley’s investigations into Heather’s death. Jean tells Shirley Phil advised her not to speak to the police. Phil maintains he was just trying to help as Jean’s easily confused. Shirley lets it go but determines to find the photo frame. Phil stresses that if Shirley discovers he was trying to incriminate Andrew she’ll wonder who he’s covering for. Ben wishes Phil didn’t have to lie. Later, he wakes a sleeping Phil, lying he was talking about Heather – next time Shirley could hear. Phil throws Shirley out, claiming he’s sick of her torturing them with Heather’s death.
Bianca, Carol and Whitney smuggle a wine bag into R&R under Bianca’s top. Whitney’s amused to learn Ricky used to have a ponytail. Bianca jokes she’s wet herself when the wine bag leaks, then flings it over Carol when she’s critical. Drunkenly staggering home, she silences Phil’s car alarm by pounding on it. Carol slurs Bianca’s amazing for supporting the family. They hug, fall onto Phil’s car, and set the alarm off.
Janine demands Michael wear a pink tie for the wedding - he’s not paying so has no choice. Jean’s saddened when Michael tells her they can’t afford to train a young lad at the gym. Jean looks at photos of Stacey and Sean, then lends Michael her scratch card winnings to fund a boxing training programme. Michael gives Janine the money as his wedding contribution and cuts up the pink tie.
Roxy’s buoyed when Alfie tells her he loves having her around, but later he gently admits it wouldn’t work between them - it’s not just a choice between her and Kat, he has a family. Roxy claims she’s fine but quits her job.
Tiffany insists on using her calculator while Masood’s tutoring her. He smashes it with a hammer. Show less
