As the Mitchells watch Heather’s body being wheeled out, Phil runs around the corner and vomits. Ben follows, telling him it’s over.
Rose lies that she and Andrew were playing bridge all afternoon. At the police station, Andrew tells DS Crisp he and Heather planned to elope. Crisp presents Andrew with the empty envelope and his train ticket. Although Andrew insists the wedding money was stolen by a tramp, Crisp accuses Andrew of stealing it and arrests him for Heather’s murder.
