Alan Spence is an award-winning poet and playwright, novelist and short story writer. His awards include the McVitie Prize (Scottish Writer of the Year). He is Professor in Creative Writing at the University of Aberdeen where he also founded and directed the annual WORD Festival from 1999-2011. His most recent novel, 'The Pure Land', was translated into 19 languages. His latest book is 'Morning Glory', a poetry collection with illustrations by Elizabeth Blackadder. Show less
