Janine’s cheered when Billy tells her a developer wants to talk to her, and dashes off to the Gherkin for the meeting. Arriving, Janine finds Michael waiting for her in the empty restaurant. He proposes. Delighted, Janine says yes and Michael summons a waiter with flowers and champagne. He draws a ring onto Janine’s finger. Michael’s stunned when Janine insists he’ll have to sign a pre-nup. They stare out over the city.
Mandy’s desperate for her mum to leave, but Ian’s pleased when Lorraine offers to cook lunch. Lorraine wangles a drink, and the lowdown on Ian, from Masood. Mandy realises Lorraine’s planning on staying more than one night and tells her to leave. Mandy buys Ian’s favourite takeaway. She tells Ian she thought Lorraine would make him see her differently. Ian insists he loves everything about Mandy and reveals Lorraine’s still there, he’s asked her to stay and thinks she and Mandy should put the past in the past.
Realising it would mean a lot to Lauren, Lucy apologises to Whitney and the three girls share a lunch of chips and wine. The girls discuss money and Lucy and Whitney get on well.
