Michael suggests Anthony and Tyler leave Walford to escape Derek. Patrick returns from the police station, he and Derek haven’t been charged. Anthony and Tyler are summoned to R&R. Derek thinks the boys grassed and when Patrick claims it was him, Derek doesn’t believe it. Derek doubles the amount the brothers owe, taking their business and van as collateral. Michael tells Janine he’s going away. Tyler and Anthony confront Michael, realising he phoned the police. Janine demands to know how much they owe; Michael doesn’t want her to give them money. Michael allows Derek to beat him up, so he’ll leave Tyler and Anthony alone. Afterwards, when Michael asks if they’re quits, Derek reveals Janine repaid the boys’ debt an hour ago.
Happy, Andrew and Heather plan to announce their engagement in the Vic. The Mitchells attempt to be nice to Ben, but get nowhere so Shirley enlists Heather’s help. Heather persuades Ben to come to the Vic, confiding she’s engaged. At the pub, Heather’s attempts to announce her news are repeatedly interrupted by the Mitchells’ entreaties to Ben and then by Ian and Mandy’s own wedding announcement. Heather blurts out her news, then walks out, upset. Shirley’s thrilled for her friend and brings her back inside to celebrate. Rose arrives, but learning of the engagement from Patrick she slips away, unimpressed.
Whitney ignores Fatboy when he apologises. Seeing Roxy and Jack fighting in front of Amy, Whitney gives them a piece of her mind. Jack realises it was justified, but Roxy complains about Whitney to the nursery.
Lucy’s aghast when Mandy persuades Ian to spend lots on the wedding. When Mandy sets a date, the 22nd of March, Lucy suggests it to Heather as the perfect day for her wedding.
Ray offers Patrick some of his shifts at the Vic, impressing Kim. Show less
