Stevie finds himself in police custody after being found in Gina and Murray's flat. He tries to keep schtum, afraid of incriminating himself, but finally breaks, insisting that Nicole will vouch for him. However, Nicole has already decided she will go to the station to make an appeal on Stevie's behalf, and when she explains their actions the previous night she admits that they slept together - and she also gives her age as fifteen. Despite trying to help, she has inadvertently given the police more fuel - now they are going to charge Stevie with sex with a minor. Armed with this information, the police head to Shieldinch to question Stevie's friends and neighbours, and after a conversation with Christina who reveals that Stevie bought Nicole alcohol and gifts, they suspect Stevie of grooming underage girls. Despite the incriminating evidence and the fact that Stevie looks to have some previous unsolved cases attributed to him, they release him back into Raymond's care on the condition that he doesn't go near Nicole. However, when he returns to Shieldinch, Stevie realises that the strain on his and Nicole's relationship will be too much and he decides he should go back and stay with his parents until his court date. He writes an impassioned letter to Nicole, and after a quick farewell, leaves Shieldinch and his love behind.
During the night there's been a break in at the surgery, and it seems that the only things that have been taken are the practice's hard drives - containing exactly the same information that Lenny tried to get off Dan a couple of weeks ago. Dan tells DI Donald this, and he is soon on the case. Lenny knows that DI Donald has no concrete evidence and tells him so - refusing to provide an alibi. However, Lenny gets nervy when Terry turns up. Terry was the one who did the burglary for Lenny and Lenny is annoyed that he's returned to the scene of the crime. Later, DI Donald turns up at Lenny's flat where Frances blurts out an alibi for the previous night, but it's clear that she's lying when she tells Donald that she and Lenny had no visitors the whole evening. Frances meets up with Donald alone, and refuses to change her statement. She sees his attraction to her and taunts him with it, but this backfires when he tries to kiss her - quite aggressively. Hayley interrupts them, but doesn't see any specifics, but it doesn't stop her letting Lenny know about it later on when he's looking for Frances. DI Donald arrests Terry, and then Lenny - who is fuming that Donald's been harassing Frances. At the end of the day Lenny is released, but the chase is now truly on - he'll have to be careful.
Scarlett is delighted to find that Dr Dan spent the night round at their house, even if it was just on the sofa. She is sure that he and Kelly Marie are destined to be together and spends the day trying to matchmake. This backfires when she invites Dan for a lunch appointment he can't make, and he then apologises to Kelly Marie. Kelly Marie is surprised to hear of this lunch date and is embarrassed about her mum's intrusion. She has it out with her, but Scarlett is unbowed. When Madonna looks a little flushed, she immediately gets Dan round on a housecall, and when Kelly Marie arrives, she is suspicious. However, despite their protestations they both realise there is truth in Scarlett's assertions that they are good for one another, and agree to a date - Scarlett is delighted! Show less
