In front of a disapproving Derek, David slips Carol a note ‘CU in launderette @ 1pm’. David and Michael enlist Roxy’s help to set up Derek; Derek sees them talking. Roxy keeps watch while Michael plants the stolen goods, however, when Derek arrives home unexpectedly, Roxy’s unable to warn Michael. At the launderette, Carol insists if David loves her he needs to prove he’s stopped playing games. David rushes out of the launderette but he’s too late; the police are already on Derek’s doorstep. David decides to blame everything on Michael and is shocked when Michael reveals Derek’s not going to prison, he found Michael planting the stolen goods and believes it’s all down to David. David tells Carol he has to go away after the funeral but wants her to go with him. Tiffany writes Pat a goodbye letter. Whitney’s anxious when Bianca notes Morgan’s quiet. Tiffany finds Pat’s will. Bianca realises the house will have to be sold. Janine suggests she buy it, insisting they can rent it for as long as they like - on condition that the kids can go to Pat’s funeral.
Mandy reveals to Ricky they had a daughter, Kira, who died. Ian becomes increasingly paranoid, he sees Mandy and Ricky talking and later Bianca jokes Mandy could be with David. Mandy’s hunch that Ian hasn’t told Lucy and Peter about Pat’s funeral or her is confirmed when Lucy arrives unexpectedly and has no idea who Mandy is.
