Billy supports Janine when she breaks down in his arms at work. Michael and Norman assist Janine to the Butcher’s where she is welcomed into the fold, sharing a rare maternal moment with Carol. Mo’s visits to return Pat’s’ Miss Butlin’s 1958’ sash, providing the family with a poignant reminder of Pat’s early years. Carol’s strong facade crumbles upon finding herself alone. Derek warns David that he isn’t welcome on the Square but David informs him that he’s not going anywhere.
Mandy tells a devastated Ian she’ll be gone by the end of the day. Before leaving, Mandy opens up about her and Ricky’s dead baby Kira, explaining that she thought by getting close to Ricky she could feel close to her baby again. Ian eventually takes her apology as genuine and allows her to stay.
Shirley reminds Ben of the ramifications of his actions as Phil faces a stretch inside. When he is released without charge Shirley informs Ben she knew all along, she just wanted to scare him. In the Vic Shirley agrees to keep quiet for Ben when he reaffirms to her that it’s all over now.
Alfie and Kat open the Vic so people can pay their respects to Pat. When Alfie makes a toast to Pat, Kat praises him for speaking from the heart, prompting him to confront her over what he heard on the Nanny cam.
Anthony comes to Amira’s aid when she encounters a cockroach as her and Syed receive their business merchandise whilst Denise is furious that Phil has been released without charge. Show less
