CBBC's Driving Academy, a top secret training centre dedicated to road safety, is determined to make the UK a nation of safer road users. During an intense fortnight of masterclasses, under the watchful eye of approved driving instructors, four children and their careless parents learn about road safety and safe driving whilst having some serious fun along the way.

Joe Swash along with road safety experts Sandra Dodson (deputy chief examiner, Driving Standards Agency) and Vicky Lovell (approved driving instructor, grade six) preside over the ten days of training, aided and abetted by a team of crash test dummies including Mr Crash (or Mr C to his friends), who spends each and every day getting distracted at the wheel and crashing into bizarre objects.

There are thrills, spills and bumps along the way as we test our recruits to the limits. The question is: who will pass and who will fail the ultimate driving test at the end of the series? Viewers are also able to join in as the show is jam-packed with useful safety advice and quizzes to play along with at home.
