In today's programme she meets Sharon Isbin, America's leading Classical guitarist and winner of 2 Grammys for her guitar playing: virtually unheard of in the Classical music world. Joan hears how Sharon has recorded with a diverse range of musicians around the world, adding richness and complexity to the classical guitar repertoire. Sharon describes her rendition of older pieces and her care to set them in an accurate musical context for their time.
