It's Pantomime Season once more in Scotland, and there are a plethora of pantos to choose from. To make things easier Janice will be joined by top Scottish actors and panto heavyweights Tony Roper, Jimmy Chisholm, and Juliet Cadzow, to tell us about their panto roles this year and to explore why this bizarre theatrical tradition continues to be adored by the Scottish people.

Panto, Variety and the Scottish People is a special one off Staging the Nation event with Alan Cumming at the King's Theatre in Glasgow, and involves some of our biggest actors including Juliet Cadzow. The international actor tells Janice why he's back performing in Scotland, and the influence that our panto and variety culture has had on his career.

Imran Yusuf is about to film a BBC3 pilot for his own TV show, despite only achieving recognition for his comedy last year at the Edinburgh Festival and following an appearance on Michael McIntyre's Roadshow that same summer. Janice talks to Imran about his incredible successes, his determination to tackle difficult themes, and his hopes for his sketch-pilot. Show less
