It is the day that Tatiana is due to deliver her miscarried child, but Big Bob is still reeling from the news that he wasn't its father. Bob is busying himself with preparations for the bonfire night round at the community centre while Molly tries her best to be supportive to Tatiana, especially as Bob has no intention of accompanying her to the hospital. However, after an ear-bashing from Molly, Bob decides to be there for Tattie, and they endure the heartbreak of induced labour together.
Meanwhile, Christina feels powerless to help her mum, and the events of the day are given more meaning when she receives confirmation in the post that she is now an O'Hara - but is there an O'Hara family to be part of? Stevie helps her take her mind off things by entertaining her and Nicole while Tatiana is in the hospital.
When Bob and Tattie return form the hospital Christina hopes that things can soon get back to normal, but Bob pours scorn on that notion when he announces that he's off to a music festival - and he doesn't have any intention of returning anytime soon.
Lenny is still trying to ingratiate himself with Kelly-Marie - unsuccessfully. A prospective 'business partner' (Dave) turns up with a dodgy proposition for Lenny and Lenny is happy to go along with it, until Dave makes a sleazy move on Kelly-Marie. Seeing this, Lenny turfs Dave out on his ear, and Lenny hopes his chivalry will impress Kelly-Marie. However, Kelly-Marie rightly points out that scumbags like Dave would have no reason to be there if it wasn't for Lenny's shady business deals. Back to square one.
Elsewhere, Stevie Burns is back in town to receive a certificate which celebrates that he is six months clean. There's an awards ceremony and Stevie just can't help winding Eileen up.
Stevie's set up a little business for himself, he's a handy man and he wastes no time in getting himself a couple of commissions from the Shieldinch locals. But he can't shake off Eileen, who dogs him through the day, willing him to fail. However, he performs all his jobs in a timely and professional manner, and when Eileen recognises this, and sees how he has changed, she can't help but soften and along with Raymond offers him a bed at the Tall Ship flat.
Stevie's new found security is thrown into turmoil though when Dave comes to him and asks him to look after something - a gun... Show less
