Yusef tries to justify his actions but Amira reveals how desperate he was to keep her and Yasmin away, leaving Yusef broken and beaten. Christian also shows his rage towards the doctor, sympathising with Amira who is distraught at losing everything. Offering her a bed for the night, Christian later chooses a night out over staying in with Syed and Yasmin. Yusef appears on Zainab’s doorstep, begging for forgiveness. Unbeknownst to them Masood has spotted the pair through the window, vowing to Denise that he’s done helping Zainab.
Lola teases Ben over his sexuality but their high spirits are cut short when they find Phil shouting at Heather over the poster mix up. A family dinner turns awkward when Phil makes a comment about Ben hanging around with Lola, Ben storming out at his dad’s apparent dig, Jay reminding Phil that it’s 2011. In the Vic Shirley also reprimands Phil, telling him if he carries on like this he’ll lose Ben forever.
Roxy is desperate for some adult company, deciding to head on a night out with Christian and Kim after begging Jack to babysit. Ben arrives, finding comfort in his accepting surroundings. Ben agrees to look after Amy until Jack gets back but as him and Jay search Jack’s flat an unsupervised Amy falls in the bath after reaching for a toy. Discovering her lifeless body Ben frantically searches for help. Yusef administers CPR as a furious Jack rushes in, demanding to know what’s happened.
Anthony questions whether he’s made the right decision by dating Poppy. Hunting down a stray cat that appears with a haul from a clearance sale, Jodie and Anthony are left flustered when they share a kiss. Jodie regrets her betrayal instantly but is later hurt when Anthony heads out on his date with Poppy. Show less
