Syed’s bought a book for Yasmin, Christian notes he won’t be able to read it to her as it’s in Urdu. Zainab and Amira plan a birthday party for Yasmin. Christian and Syed’s plans for a day together are ruined when Zainab insists Syed spend time with Yasmin. Christian tells Yusef he wants a paternity test. Christian extracts a hair from Yasmin’s cardigan and later delivers two envelopes to Yusef marked ‘S’ and ‘Y’. He’s guilty when Syed jubilantly declares now he has Christian and Yasmin he has everything he could ever want. Meanwhile, Yusef burns the hair from the envelope marked ‘S’, extracts a hair from his own head and places it in a bag marked ‘Syed Masood’.
Determined to discover if she caused a patient’s death, Rose crashes Alan Jones’ wake in the Vic. She confesses to Reverend Stevens that she’s responsible. Amused, he tells Rose that the man died from a bee sting.
Jodie and Poppy are unable to afford their rent. Anthony offers them a room, Jodie refuses. Following advice from Roxy, they refuse to pay rent until Ian fixes their maintenance problems; their plan backfires when Ian insists they move out. The girls are forced to accept the room at the Moons’.
Ben buys Christian some aftershave that he refuses – it’s inappropriate. Lola attempts to cheer Ben up and wonders how Ben knows he’s gay if he’s never slept with a girl. Ben’s surprised when she kisses him, then responds. Later, post coital, Ben’s sheepish. The pair decide to just be friends.
Janine makes fun of Michael when he prepares breakfast for two. Heather gets a shock when, arriving to clean Janine’s house, she finds Michael. He warns her not to reveal he was there. Later, Janine arrives home to a romantic birthday meal cooked by Michael. Show less
