Love them or hate them - there's no getting away from caravans in Wales. 11 million caravan nights bring around 300 million
pounds to the Welsh economy every year and this series gets to know some of the people spending their leisure time in their own fibreglass box. We explore the joys of hitching your home to the back of the car and hitting the open road or settling down in a static on one of Wales's many coastline sites.
Vintage caravan enthusiasts go to huge lengths to make sure every detail in their can is completely authentic - from furniture through crockery to ornaments, even as far as their own outfits. Ardent vintage caravaners come from all over Wales and the UK to gather at the Three Cocks Rally on the Welsh Borders. Here they show off their caravans to likeminded enthusiasts. More of an obsession than a hobby, Barry and Richard from Welshpool have five beautiful examples at home and Ivor from Abergavenny would really like to get his hands on one of them. Richard from Llanidloes has a bit of trouble with gas travelling uphill in his vintage Teardrop, and Denzil and Rhian from Llandeilo can't go anywhere without their furry friend, Bubbles. Show less
