Liz begins her journey two-and-a-half thousand feet above sea level in Whinlatter Forest, where she tries her hand at tree felling. In Keswick, she learns how a pencil factory helped keep Second World War RAF pilots safe behind enemy lines before meeting a photographer who worked with the great guidebook author, Alfred Wainwright.
