Kat and Alfie oversleep. Kat isn’t overly happy about the lunchtime ‘cockney bash’ Alfie’s arranged. She tries to get Alfie to talk to her - they need to spend time alone together. Jack apologises to Kat about his behaviour before Ronnie’s sentencing. Kat lets him see Tommy. Jack’s emotional and Kat’s able to talk honestly to him about how she’s feeling.

Greg reveals he’s taking Tanya to Mexico. Not to be outdone, Vanessa mentions she and Max are considering honeymooning in the Seychelles. Max tells Tanya he doesn’t think hiding their relationship is working for them, but Tanya insists she’s sick of being his latest affair and wants it to end. They kiss, but then the gate at the end of the alley they’re in slams shut – someone’s seen them…

Shenice hears Alfie tell Kat that Tyler caught Carol and Eddie at it hammer and tongs on the sofa. Shenice tells Tiffany and Carol’s mortified when, like a Chinese whisper, the news quickly spreads. Jean won’t confirm to Michael that Carol and Eddie are together, but mentions how disconcertingly angry Eddie was about the letter from Chingford.

Jean’s horrified when a bucket of live eels is delivered to the Vic for the cockney bash – she was expecting jellied. Jean’s very taken with Norman in his Pearly King outfit. Neglecting all other food orders, Jean prepares a special meal for Norman, but then sees him with Pat. Sadly, Jean concludes that only queens get kings to fall in love with them.

Billy does Julie’s cleaning shift at the Vic, he needs the money. The social worker visits to discuss Lola. She’s pleased to hear Phil’s now paying Billy’s rent, and is supportive when she learns that Julie’s gone.

Mo sells dodgy light bulbs. She’s thrilled when Fat Elvis visits. Show less
