AFraser's edgy, anxiously waiting for the post to arrive. He's indebted to McCabe by 50,000 pounds, and it has to be paid today. Amber's phoned Lenny's lawyer for a loan but nothing's turned up. She heads off to meet Hamish face-to-face but returns to the flat ashen-faced, with a nasty, bullying McCabe in tow. He wants his money and he wants it now. They explain it's on its way - McCabe sets them an ultimatum for 6pm at the warehouses and leaves. Fraser loses his rag, picks up a kitchen knife and hares after McCabe - hotly pursued by Amber. Fraser rushes into the street searching for McCabe. He spots an unfamiliar car and rushes to confront the driver - only to be greeted by none other than Lenny Murdoch.
Amber and Fraser explain to a very unimpressed Lenny everything about the situation with McCabe. Lenny seeks out Jimmy and heads to the Tall Ship to rattle a few cages. It's a tumbleweed moment as he enters the pub. Raymond doesn't want Lenny around but is forced to listen when Lenny says he can help Deek. But when Lenny tells Raymond about Jimmy's involvement, Raymond sees red. He wants nothing more to do with Jimmy or Lenny. Raymond then bangs into Scarlett and the penny drops for both of them as to the level of Jimmy's deception. When Jimmy sees Scarlett he is full of remorse and wants to go to the police. As much as she wants to punish her husband, Scarlett also doesn't want him killed by McCabe. Jimmy begins to realise Lenny could be his only hope.
With Jimmy and Raymond finally onside, Lenny's masterplan commences - Raymond tells Deek to name McCabe and Deek passes the information to DI Donald. Meanwhile, Jimmy meets McCabe face-to-face. McCabe knows Jimmy's seen Lenny but Jimmy denies it. When pushed, Jimmy reveals Lenny's using him to spy on McCabe. McCabe thinks he's won a watch with this information. Lenny then sends Fraser on a secret mission but he is intercepted by McCabe's henchman and Jimmy who kidnap him. Amber receives a call from Fraser's mobile but it's McCabe on the line. Lenny sets up a meeting and he and Amber head to the warehouse. McCabe's there with his henchmen. Amber is incredulous as Jimmy appears as McCabe's lackey. How could Jimmy deceive them this way?
McCabe demands the money and photos and Lenny demands Fraser. It's stalemate. McCabe's henchman produces a gun. Tension builds as Jimmy reveals a tied-up Fraser. Just when McCabe thinks he has the upper hand, the police arrive and arrest him and his henchman. Lenny tells the police McCabe's been threatening Amber, trying to extort money from her and Fraser. He explains Jimmy is on Lenny's side. It turns out Jimmy was in on the set-up all along. Amber's disgusted that they could kidnap Fraser for use in their little game and keep her in the dark. It seems that some things with the Murdochs never change.
As the dust settles, Deek arrives back in Shieldinch a free man. He receives a warm welcome at the Tall Ship where he shares a drink with a relieved (if somewhat dishevelled) Lenny, Amber, Jimmy and Fraser. Scarlett is disgusted and refuses to serve them at the bar. The locals are shocked- Lenny Murdoch is back in town, and that can only mean one thing - trouble.
