Vanessa panics about the engagement party. Max promises to take her shopping for an engagement ring and calls Greg in to sort out the sitting room. Drunk, Rainie stumbles into the salon. Tanya takes her home and calls Greg. Max cancels the call and when Tanya phones him he claims Greg isn’t there. Max puts Rainie to bed and comforts Tanya. When Greg appears, Tanya realises what Max’s done and covers for him, claiming she was scared, Rainie came at her with a kitchen knife and Max didn’t have time to fetch Greg. Vanessa’s angry with Max for missing their shopping trip. Rainie’s devastated when, at Greg’s insistence, Tanya sends her away to stay with their mother. Guilt ridden, Tanya looks over at Max’s house - he’s standing in the window, smiling.

Masood and Tamwar talk, Masood tells Tamwar he’s proud of him. Having seen Tamwar attempt a few dance steps, Masood suggests to Fatboy and Darren they help with Tamwar’s Mendhi dance. Afia discusses her dance with Jodie and Mercy.

Janine’s been burgled. The police take her in for questioning about Lydia’s death. Later, Janine accuses Pat of reporting her, but Ryan reveals he called the police. Ryan and Janine shout accusations at each other. Janine insists she loved Lydia, she was the last link to her mum. As Janine gets more and more upset, Pat starts to clap.

Christian, Syed and Roxy celebrate Christian’s birthday in a gay bar. Syed has a great time chatting to one of Christian’s friends and Christian leaves in a huff.

Vanessa speculates about who Eddie’s calling from the phone box outside the salon. When Eddie buys two cakes in the café, Carol wonders who the other one’s for. Later, she’s grateful when she finds Eddie helping Liam fix a one armed bandit machine. Show less
