It’s Tommy’s christening day. Roxy’s nervous, Ronnie’s being released today. Kat’s upset that the christening outfit she bought for Tommy is too small, but is delighted when Jean presents her with Stacey’s christening gown. When they learn of Ronnie’s release, Kat and Alfie are determined for the christening to be a success. Alfie tries to convince Jack and Michael to come to the christening, and wants Jack to be Godfather. Kat’s reluctant, but sees how much it means to Alfie and gives in. Jack wishes them well, but can’t face coming to the christening. Alfie gives Kat a ‘KAT’ necklace. At the christening, Alfie’s touched when Jack turns up after all, and they take a moment to remember baby James. Kat realises she’s glad to have Jack there, and gives him Tommy to hold, she wants them all to get on with their lives. Back at the Vic, everyone’s toasts baby Tommy, and happy Kat promises Alfie nothing will ever come between them again. Across the Square, a cab pulls up and Ronnie nervously steps out.
Jane agrees to attend Tommy’s christening with Ian for Alfie’s sake. She’s annoyed when Ian backs out of a family dinner with Bobby. They bicker about Masood, and Ian threatens to ruin Jane in the court proceedings. They feel guilty when they see how their arguing affects Bobby. Overhearing, Phil thinks he may be able to help Jane out in the divorce.
With Ben gone, Jay’s worried that Phil will go off the rails again. In an attempt to help, Abi cooks Phil dinner but only succeeds in further annoying him.
Seeing that Mercy’s jealous of Jane and Fatboy’s flirting, Lauren tries to reassure Mercy that Fatboy loves her. Mercy confesses that their marriage is a sham. Show less
