Whitney discovers she has Chlamydia. Paranoid, Whitney wrongly accuses Ryan of telling Lauren, and suspects her of fancying Ryan. Later, Whitney apologizes to Ryan, and is touched when he and Lauren stand by her despite her outburst.

It’s Jane’s 40th birthday, and she’s depressed at how her life has turned out. Christian convinces her to go for a birthday drink as Ian’s away. At the Vic, Jane sees Martin again, and flirts with him. She enjoys pretending to be someone else for the night, and Jane invites Martin home with her. They burst into the house, kissing passionately, to find a stunned Ian and Bobby waiting as a birthday surprise.

Masood confides his marriage worries to Jane, who suggests he make a romantic gesture. Masood invites Zainab for a candle lit dinner at the Argee Bhajee, and reveals he overheard her and Yusef; he’s worried she’s only with him out of duty. Zainab assures him that she loves him, they agree to have no more secrets between them. Their happiness is short lived when Syed accuses them of being hypocritical for judging him for his life choices.

Syed asks Zainab and Masood to accept his lifestyle. They refuse, Syed’s outraged they’re judging him when their own lives aren’t perfect. Christian offers Syed the chance for a new family of their own; they could adopt.

After finding Jack passed out in a drunken stupor, Roxy worries that he needs Ronnie. Ronnie’s solicitor reveals that Ronnie’s fired him and is refusing bail. Roxy visits Ronnie in prison and begs her to let her help, Ronnie lashes out and accuses Roxy of loving playing the ‘adult’ for once. Roxy’s upset, but sets about hiring a solicitor for Ronnie.

Grace isn’t happy about Fat Boy and Mercy’s engagement until she realises that Fat Boy is in love with Mercy. Show less
