Big Bob still feels embarrassed that his so-called friends think he made up a fictional girlfriend. But it's been over a week and she still hasn't returned his calls. Feeling rejected and humiliated, he's keeping a low profile. To cheer him up, Iona invites him round to her flat for the afternoon - just the two of them, best pals - a movie, popcorn, the works. He agrees, but it's clear Iona's got her work cut out if she's going to lift his spirits. She's still convinced that he made his new girlfriend up.
At Iona's flat, the pair settle in for the afternoon. Big Bob ignores repeated calls from Scarlett, but when she calls again Iona convinces him to answer it so they can watch their movie in peace. There's a woman called Tatiana in the Oyster Cafe, and she's looking for Bob. He tells Iona that Tattie's here and heads out to the Oyster. Iona follows, confused and a little put out that he's changing their plans. As they head out on to the street Bob comes face-to-face with Tatiana, and they embrace. Iona is forgotten as an excited Big Bob takes Tatiana in to the Oyster to meet his family. Tatiana is only visiting for the day, and is keen to get some time alone with Bob. Aware of what this might mean, virgin Big Bob bottles it and offers to buy Tatiana a drink in the pub so they can have a bit more privacy.
With her day off already ruined, Iona agrees to do a shift in the pub as a favour to Raymond only to find Big Bob and Tatiana canoodling in a corner. Raymond begs her to stay and work the shift. He tells her it's okay to be jealous. Iona can't resist regaling Tatiana with tales of her amazing friendship with Bob. Uncomfortable, Tatiana excuses herself and heads to the ladies. Big Bob pulls Iona up on her behaviour. Iona reluctantly admits that she worries she's going to lose her best friend. In an effort to reassure her Big Bob warmly takes her hand, but Tatiana comes back and witnesses what looks like a very warm, loving exchange. Feeling hurt and confused, Tatiana slips out of the pub. Raymond sees her go and tips off Big Bob. Bob is furious with Iona for doing this on purpose. Iona denies it and Bob exits to try and catch Tatiana. He's just in time and explains that what she witnessed between him and Iona was simply a moment of friendship, nothing more. He begs Tatiana not to leave, and they spend their last few hours together alone. He takes her up to Scarlett's and Molly does her best to get in the way. Sensing that Tatiana is keen to get Bob in to bed Scarlett ushers Jimmy and Molly out to the pub to give the love birds some space. Alone at last, Bob is nervous and blurts out that he's a virgin. Tatiana doesn't mind, and they had off to Bob's bedroom. Later that night, Bob and Tatiana say an emotional farewell at the subway and she tells him that she had a lovely time. Bob is chuffed that his first sexual encounter went so well, and sends Tattie off with a kiss. She promises she'll be back. But will she?
