Ronnie’s missing, and Jack’s sat up all night waiting for her to come home. Roxy’s terrified that Ronnie’s killed herself. Jack’s thinks Ronnie’s just playing for attention and refuses to call the police, but is wracked with worry. Roxy searches all day and is despairing when she gets a call from Aunt Sal; Ronnie’s with her. Angry and hurt that Ronnie didn’t even care enough to call him, Jack’s had enough. He refuses to go and get Ronnie, and tells Carol that he and Ronnie are through.

Syed’s hurt that Christian won’t keep quiet about his plan to put Roxy out of business. Tanya talks fondly to Syed about her past relationship with Max. Later, Christian attempts to tell Roxy of their plan, but she’s distracted and won’t listen. Christian relents and agrees to keep quiet for Syed. Tanya and Syed decide to open their own salon at Tanya’s house.

Rushed off her feet looking after Jim, Dot slips and falls down the stairs. Carol’s alarmed when she peers through the letter box and sees Dot lying on the floor, crying out in pain. After assessing her, Yusef realises Dot’s broken her arm and impresses everyone with how he handles Dot. Dot’s taken to hospital in an ambulance. Carol’s determined to help out more from now on.

Fat Boy’s shocked when his dad, Ashley, turns up at the Market. Ashley confesses that he drank away Fat Boy’s inheritance and he’s lost their house. Fat Boy takes pity on him and sneaks him into Mrs Olubumni’s.

Lonely and looking for love, Heather joins a dating website. Shirley’s concerned that she’ll only meet dodgy men but Heather’s quickly obsessed.

Kat’s delighted to have Jean home, but thinks she needs something to focus on. She offers Jean the chef’s job at the Vic, suggesting she do a cookery course. Show less
