Phil shuts Michael into a delivery van and abandons the van in an isolated spot with no phone reception. He pays one of the gym promo girls to disappear for the afternoon, hoping Jack will assume Michael’s with her. When Phil tells Ronnie what he’s done, she’s not impressed – she wanted Michael gone for good. Phil tells Ronnie he’ll help, but loses patience when she won’t tell him the real reason why she wants Michael gone. Phil returns to the van and unlocks it. Michael makes his way back to the boxing gym in time for opening night. Roxy successfully draws Michael’s attention away from the promo girls when she turns up wearing a cheerleader’s outfit.
Alfie’s managed to get an appointment at a private IVF clinic. During their appointment it becomes clear Kat’s doesn’t really want the treatment. Alfie realises things will never be right between them, their relationship’s over.
Edward apologises to Dot. She explains how ill going out makes Jim, and how scared she is that one day it will be too much for him. Dot’s touched to discover the boxing gym is named after her Jim, but asks Carol if she was the last to know. Carol misunderstands and thinks Dot’s talking about Whitney. Edward brings Dot some tapes, Dot breaks down, and confesses how upset she is that the family didn’t tell her about Whitney earlier – she could have helped.
Taking pity on Ian, Fat Boy claims to be impressed by his many businesses. Ian promptly invites Fat Boy round for the evening to teach him everything he knows. Jane dresses up to go to the boxing gym opening, but admits to Tanya that Ian not knowing where she was going was the best part of the evening. Show less
