No-one’s heard from Phil, and Ben’s worried. Still planning to leave, Shirley needs cash. Heather suggests pawning her engagement ring, but Shirley’s lost it. Shirley ends up in the (decorated) Vic. When Julie picks a coin up off the floor, Shirley accuses her of pocketing the ring. Shirley eventually retrieves her ring from Shenice and pawns it. Phil summons Billy to hospital; he’s had another heart scare, but hasn’t been drinking. Ben tries to stop Shirley and Heather leaving, Heather insists she can’t be far from George. Discovering he’s been in hospital, Shirley agrees to meet Phil in the Arches. Billy tells Jay and Ben to get ready for the wedding. Phil insists he loves Shirley. Shirley hands him a bottle of vodka and a rock of crack and walks out, telling him to go and die.

Kat leaves Alfie to look after a dejected Shenice. In a bid to impress Kat, Alfie decorates the pub for the wedding, unaware it’s been cancelled. Mo and Martina look for Shirley’s ring, Martina wants the money to fly back to Spain with Shenice. After talking to Shenice, Shirley tells Kat and Alfie it’s her birthday. Kat and Alfie throw Shenice a party. While Alfie’s out buying spring rolls, Martina and her ex take Shenice and leave. Alfie’s upset, but Kat seems indifferent.
