Still reeling from Janine’s taunts the night before, Whitney’s hurt when Ricky seems not to want her around the kids. Janine and Whitney get a final rent demand; they’ve got twenty four hours to raise £800. Janine pretends to faint in front of Yusef and steals his wallet: There’s a lot of money inside, but not quite enough. Whitney sells her chains. She attempts to steal someone’s wallet, they push her away and she goes flying. Rob, who’s seen everything, takes Whitney into a café. He’s kind to her, drives her home and gives her his mobile number in case she ever wants to escape. Lauren sees them together. Janine drags Whitney home, presuming Rob paid her for sex. She’s relieved when Whitney explains what really happened, but Whitney starts to wonder if she should have found another David. Janine reassures her that they’ve still got time to get the money, but when Whitney’s out of earshot Janine phones David and arranges to meet him.

Shirley tries to cheer up Heather, trying on wedding dresses and letting her help plan the wedding. But when Heather starts talking themes, it all gets too much and Shirley tells her to shut up. Heather’s happy to have the real Shirley back.

Roxy’s still angry that Phil’s stolen her money. She’s also irritated by the incompetence of the salon staff and employs Tanya as manager. Tanya fires Kim.

Dot’s outraged when she learns that Heather received a house-call from Yusef. Zainab maligns Yusef when talking to Dot. Yusef decides to buy a takeaway as a thank you for Denise and Kim and goes to the Argee Bhajee. Zainab makes it clear she’s not happy to have him around. Yusef reminds her that their families are now linked. Show less
