Alfie and Michael return from Brighton. Jack punches Michael, believing he come on to Ronnie. Michael insists Ronnie fancies him, not the other way around, but Ronnie denies it. At Ronnie’s insistence, Jack tries to buy Michael’s share of the boxing gym lease. Michael agrees, on one condition, Jack asks Ronnie about the photo she has of him. Roxy’s jealous when she sees Michael in the Vic with another woman. Jack searches through Ronnie’s things and finds the photo.

Alfie and Kat avoid each other. Jane offers Alfie work at the chip shop. Persuaded by Jane and Michael, Alfie’s nearly goes to see Kat but walks away after Janine tells him Kat’s flirting with all the single men in the Vic.

Janine reminds Whitney she only let her come back to the flat on condition she paid her way. Ryan invites Whitney to have breakfast with him; he’s going to work up north for a while. Janine sends Ryan away. Janine and Whitney look for work. Kat offers Whitney a trial at the Vic, but Whitney nearly refuses, realising Ryan talked Kat into it. Throughout her shift Whitney slips Janine free drinks and money from the till. Kat realises what Whitney’s doing but gives her another chance – she’s a natural barmaid.

Dot thinks she’s solved all Heather’s financial problems, but Heather’s situation is worse than Dot realises. Shirley’s back, she’s left Phil in Portugal to rest. Shirley and Heather arrange to spend Valentines evening together, but Shirley’s forced to work at R&R when Roxy and Glenda decide they’re having the night off. Heather arrives at Shirley’s clutching a DVD and is upset when no-one’s there. She and George retreat to the launderette and sit by the tumble dryers for warmth. Show less
