Phil avoids the subject of Ben’s imminent release. Jay can’t decide whether to go through with changing his name to ‘Mitchell’ – after all, Phil doesn’t trust him with the same jobs he gives Ryan and Connor. Phil claims Jay’s to valuable for such menial jobs. Billy urges Jay to be careful, Phil uses people. Glenda pays Phil a visit in the Arches. The pair kiss. Glenda hides in a car when Ian arrives. Phil gets rid of Ian, then sends Glenda away. Jay decides to go to the deed poll office when he realises the power being close to Phil gives him over Connor. The family celebrate Jay becoming a Mitchell, but as Phil makes a toast to Jay Ben walks in with Ian and Jane.

Carol’s tells Connor what happened between them was a mistake; she thinks he should be with someone his own age. However, she’s unhappy when Connor starts flirting with Whitney.

Julie’s meeting with her Parole officer takes ages. Billy’s relieved when she arrives back, all she got was a lecture. He kisses her.

Janine tells Stacey Ryan’s away doing a job for Phil, then tells Pat that they spent all weekend talking, Ryan still loves her, but has gone away to sort his head out. Later, Janine refuses to let Pat into her flat. Suspicious, Pat sends Janine a text from Whitney’s phone asking her to meet in the Vic, then tries to let herself in to the flat. Hearing groaning, she breaks the door down and finds Ryan. Pat’s about to phone for help when Janine walks in and takes the phone. She claims Ryan has the flu. Janine gives Ryan more crushed drugs. Stacey reads a text, apparently sent by Ryan, telling her he’s staying with Janine. Show less
