Composer of the Week

Andre Campra (1660-1744)

Episode 3

Duration: 1 hour

First broadcast: on BBC Radio 3Latest broadcast: on BBC Radio 3

Presented by Donald Macleod. Now based in Paris, life as a freelance composer was a precarious business for André Campra. Guest William Christie explains how Parisian theatrical life worked. Show less
