Inside Out East

15/11/2010

Duration: 29 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Cambridgeshire

Last November the Climategate affair had the world questioning the science of global warming. Hackers revealed e-mails for the UEA climate research unit which seemed to suggest scientists had covered up vital data. The director of the unit went into hiding and the doors of the research unit were closed to the media. A year on David Whiteley is one of the first to be allowed inside the unit to see the work being carried out there now. And David Holland, one of the climate change doubters at the centre of the scandal, tells his story for the first time.

Tyler must be one of the luckiest dogs alive. He was hit by the Stansted Express travelling at 80 mph and survived. His back legs suffered horrific injury but thanks to a very simple therapy he is able to walk again. Alex Dolan visits the hydrotherapy centre in Hertfordshire with Tyler to see how it works.

Last year Inside Out highlighted the case of Private Robert Foster from Harlow. He was killed in action in Afghanistan. Yet the local council refused to put his name on the town's war memorial. We return to Harlow with Robbie's parents to find out if they have now succeeded in their quest to have his memory honoured. Show less
