Carol finishes her suicide note and starts swallowing the pills when she hears banging on the door. Connor bursts in, still angry at being shut out of Billie’s funeral. Carol admits she’s made mistakes and the two soften and bond over his memory. When he realises Carol’s bleak plan, she tells him she’s desperate to see Billie again and Connor breaks down. Carol comforts him before instigating a passionate kiss. The two are interrupted by Jack and Bianca and Connor disappears just in time while Carol quickly clears up. However, later, Bianca finds her mother’s note: ‘I’m sorry I had to leave you.’
At the wake, Blossom asks after Bradley and the room goes silent. Max tells her he’s dead, but Lauren misreads Max’s awkwardness for shame. Vanessa gets jealous when she spots Max and Tanya talking closely. Max tells Vanessa that they were talking about Bradley but changes the subject when she asks what the matter is, the secret weighing him down. Lauren puts loud music on in Dot’s in an effort to celebrate Billie’s life, accusing Dot of trying to make proceedings too stifling. Max takes Lauren aside and tells her to be more sensitive. Lauren refuses to apologise, saying she’s sick of feeling like a freak because of what Bradley did. Heartbroken for Lauren and desperate to protect Bradley’s memory, Max breaks and tells Lauren that Bradley didn’t do it.
Jodie almost overhears when Harry demands to know if Vanessa has told Jodie that he’s not her father. Vanessa begs Harry not to tell Jodie the truth just to get to her.
Kat, Alfie and Stacey get excited about the Vic’s opening - they’ve cleared a big profit already. Scared of being roped into the catering, Kat offers the job to an unsure Jean. Show less
